Coach operator Trafalgar has cut the prices of its European winter tours by 10% as the consumer trend to hunt down a bargain continues.

Managing director Matthew Cameron-Smith said the buying power of the Travel Corporation has enabled it to reduce prices in the newly-launched Autumn, Winter and Spring program. Brochures are being distributed this week.
Cameron-Smith said prices are 36% less than summer tours and 10% cheaper than winter 11/12 product.
“It is still very much a value-based market,” he said.
The operator also has struck an airline deal with Singapore Airlines with companions flying for $999 to Europe when combined with fares from $1999. The offer is valid for all bookings made before July 30.
Trafalgar has added two At Leisure itineraries to the winter program with more free time also factored into other tours, Cameron-Smith said. Be My Guest and Hidden Treasure product has also been introduced for the first time.
The program has 33 itineraries, three of them new. They include a nine-day Paris and Rome tour and nine-day Best of Morocco.
Cameron-Smith said Trafalgar was looking for 10% growth.
