Off the back of impressive growth in 2014, next year promises to be even bigger for Uniworld as they launch more all-inclusive European itineraries and a new super ship.
The Boutique River Cruise Collection 2015 Europe & Russia program features 33 all-inclusive itineraries, including six new cruises and 45 more departures on the popular Rhine and Danube cruises.
The new season will also see the launch of their newest Super Ship, S.S. Maria Theresa. Named after the great Maria Theresa, the Archduchess of Austria and Queen of Hungary and Bohemia from 1740 to 1780, S.S. Maria Theresa will sail this very region on the European Jewels river cruise.
Super Ship, S.S. Maria Theresa will flow on from the S.S. Catherine which boasts more than $US1 million worth of original commissioned and antique artwork, an indoor swimming pool and L’Occitane bath products.
Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection general manager John Molinaro told Travel Today that Uniworld has experienced solid growth already this year, with the new super ship, destination and itinerary in France.
“The introduction of a new itinerary in Bordeaux saw Uniworld become the only true luxury river cruise operator in the region,” Molinaro added.
Noting Australia as the second largest market for the river cruise specialists, Uniworld has experienced a shift in cruising demographic.
According to Molinaro, the brand has traction for repeat clients; however the traditional over 65 year passenger demographic has shifted to include a mix of the younger market and sizeable family market.
“What sets Uniworld apart is a mix of the work of art ships, the service where no request is too hard and the all-inclusive appeal of not having to put your hand in your pocket,” Molinaro boasted, including the culinary delights as one of the company’s biggest draw cards.
With the release of the new 2015 program, Uniworld will work the travel trade through support from experienced and specialised sales managers, in-store training for travel agencts, webinars and agent famils.
