British airline Virgin Atlantic is trialling Google Glass during the check-in procedure for business and first-class passengers at Heathrow Airport.
During the six-week trial, airline staff do not need to check computers or tap away at a keyboard while dealing with passengers.
The airline says it's testing the technology following a survey of 10,000 passengers that found nearly half (42 per cent) of those questioned felt airline travel was no longer a glamorous experience.
Virgin Atlantic hopes the introduction of the new technology will make flying a special treat once again.
