Virgin Australia, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin America have expanded their frequent flyer scheme with passengers now able to earn and redeem points across all carriers.

Previously, travellers could only earn points.
Virgin Australia chief executive John Borghetti said the move was a welcome one given the importance placed on frequent flyer programs by passengers.
“A good frequent flyer program remains one of the key drivers for customers globally when choosing an airline,” Borghetti said. “One of the most important features for our frequent flyers is the ability to earn and redeem points and enjoy status privilege wherever they fly, and we are pleased to offer our guests the opportunity with the leading airlines such as Virgin America and Virgin Atlantic.”
