Webjet has launched its online packaging product in a move that will see it compete directly with bricks and mortar agents.
The retailer said it has welded together millions of air and hotel combinations which have been engineered to “ensure multi channel distribution” through mobile devices.
Managing director John Guscic said the product is flexible and is delivered “without the restrictions imposed by traditional wholesaling and bricks and mortar package offerings”.
He described it as “next generation packaging”.
“It will, in turn, deliver massive choice and substantial value opportunities for leisure customers,” Guscic said.
Product will be global, he added.
A marketing campaign will be launched involving TV and billboards.
