Travel agents around Australia have shared their top beauty tips to stay fresh while travelling.

From the popular choice of water and hydrations, to the more unusual dry shampoo for last minute hair fixes, the best tips and tricks of the trade have been selected with the top three answers winning themselves a Sasy n Savy Natural Skincare and Wellbeing Travel Packs.

The three below travel agents and their winning answers came from the competition Travel today ran earlier in the month, asking agents to share their best health and beauty tip while travelling.

Jessica Rendell from Thesinger & Turner Travel Associates recommends to always travel with Peppermint oil – this helps alleviate an upset tummy whilst travelling, can assist with jet lag recovery, helps clear nasal congestion on the plane and is a good breath freshener at times of need.

Simone Jackson from Tamworth Travel suggests make sure you take mascara onboard with you as you never know where you can meet Mr Right.

Tanya Hynes from Traveljust4u likes to carry some natural mineral mist spray (under 100mls) to take on board your flight, recommending the Lush mist spray, as it smells like the ocean, made from natural products, inexpensive and comes in 100ml bottles.

Rounding out the top 10 health and beauty tips while travelling are:

  1. Drink lots and lots of water, it keeps your skin and your body nice and hydrated.
  1. Include a face-mist spray with a touch of lavender oil – refreshing and great for the skin to keep hydrated.
  1. Vicks Inhaler to clear and refresh your nose and head and to avoid any smelly odours
  1. Wet ones swisspers cucumber facial cleansing wipes can be used for multiple purposes and soft on the eyes and skin
  1. Palmers cocoa butter lip gloss - cant fly without lipgloss
  1. Pack a scrunchie or hair clip or a scarf for hair disasters
  1. Carry pandol and a small tube of betadine cream for more major disasters
  1. Throw in a sarong and a crushable hat and a spare pair of undies or a swimsuit and you have a couple of days emergency gear
  1. Keep small bottle of dry shampoo in your hand bag to fluff up your hair just before exiting your plane.
  1. Stay away from the alcohol in-flight so you can arrive refreshed and not groggy.
