AAT Kings has appointed Ben Hall as its new CEO, according to company chairman David Hosking.

Hall will take the reins on 10 January 2022, allowing for a period of transition with Matt Fuller who will be departing later in the month.

Fuller has led the Travel Corporation (TTC) owned domestic tour operator for just over a year since Matt Cameron-Smith left in September 2020.

Cameron-Smith left AAT Kings to head up Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia.

Hall is currently the CEO of Tracoin Services in the UK, another TTC owned company that manages supplier relations in Europe. He has also served as the managing director for Contiki Europe.

“A 20-plus year veteran of TTC, Hall brings with him tremendous experience as a Tour operator,” Hosking said in a statement, adding that the travel giant focused on internal talent for this key position.

Of his appointment, Hall says “I am proud to be joining AAT Kings Group, and some of the most iconic travel brands in Australia and New Zealand, at a pivotal time for the tourism industry.”

“As an Australian, I look forward to bringing my experience of European touring to AAT Kings, Inspiring Journeys, Down Under Tours and SEIT.”

Hall and his family will relocate to Australia, after a period of transition between the European and Australian businesses.

With over 100 years of experience, AAT Kings Group is the largest land-based touring operator in Australia and New Zealand. Its brands include AAT Kings, Inspiring Journeys, SEIT, Down Under Tours, and Aussie Adventures.

The group also provides inbound ground handling services for sister companies Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Costsaver, and Luxury Gold in Australia and New Zealand.
