The ‘Palau Paradise Express’, Qantas’ new direct route from Brisbane to the Pacific island’s capital of Koror, makes it a more accessible destination for Australian travellers and signifies strengthen tourism, trade and economic ties between the two countries.

Travel Weekly was aboard that first Qantas flight after meeting with Palau Visitors Authority Australia, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the President of Palau, His Excellency Surangel S. Whipps, Jr at a series of special events in Brisbane to mark the occasion.

Key attendees from the travel industry included Ignite Travel Group, Flight Centre Travel Group, Luxury Escapes and Australian media.
