Accor has introduced its feel-good, affordable brand, greet, to Australia for the first time with the opening of greet Hotel Alice Springs.

The 80-room hotel offers friendly, affordable accommodation, complimentary wi-fi, tea and coffee-making facilities, free guest parking and an outdoor swimming pool.

The hotel sits in the heart of Alice Springs, just steps from Todd Mall. The hotel also features relaxed social and communal spaces where guests can connect, unwind and experience the local community

To celebrate its opening, the greet Hotel Alice Springs is offering a special 15% off the Best Flexible Rate for bookings made by 30 September 2026, for stays until 31 January 2027. Room rates start from $99 per night.

“[greet] is big on personality, low on fuss and designed around the things guests truly value: comfort, cleanliness, friendliness and great value,” Accor chief operating officer Adrian Williams said. “greet Hotel Alice Springs captures that spirit perfectly.

“Each greet hotel is different, shaped by its building, its people and its neighbourhood, which makes it especially well-suited to destinations with real personality and strong local identity.”

Iris Capital owns greet Hotel Alice Springs. Arnaout is also the new owner of Cairns’ Reef Hotel Casino after securing the off-market takeover of the casino with 85.77 per cent of shares in the Reef Casino Trust on August 14. The move is a refocus for Iris Capital, after it sold a portfolio of nine properties, including pubs in Newcastle, Hunter Region and Sydney, for $500 million to Redcape Hospitality.

“We are proud to partner with Accor to introduce greet to the Pacific for the first time,” Iris Capital CEO Sam Arnaout said. “Alice Springs is a destination with incredible character, community and tourism appeal, and greet is a brand that allows those qualities to come through.”

Accor’s greet hotel in Alice Springs expands the hospitality investment group’s portfolio to 18 hotels across Australia. Initially, Accor launched greet in France in 2019 and it has grown into one of the company’s most distinctive brands.
