Accor Vacation Club has begun refurbishment of its Victorian Highland Country resort, The Sebel Pinnacle Valley, designed to reinforce its status as one of the region’s favourite upscale retreats.

Located just 30 minutes from Mount Buller and 20 minutes from Mansfield, the four-star resort is ideally situated for guests to enjoy one of Australia’s premier snowfields in the winter, as well as wineries, horse riding and national parks for hiking and cycling in the warmer months. The resort remains an important contributor to the local economy, with more than 3,200 stays through Accor Vacation Club last year and delivering an estimated economic impact exceeding $15 million.

The refurbishment project – scheduled for completion in quarter three – sees all 43 studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments refreshed in keeping with the property’s lodge-style aesthetic. Upgrades will include a fresh coat of paint, new armchairs, kettles and toasters, new curtain pelmets, bedside lamps and standing lamps, as well as the addition of coffee machines in each apartment, allowing guests to enjoy their preferred brew every morning.

Infrastructure updates will be made to electrical switches, and distribution boards, while maintenance work will be completed across bathrooms, balconies and decks, internal doors and window louvers.

Guests appreciate the resort’s sprawling grounds and facilities, and the distinctive “High Country” architectural style, which both undergo enhancements. Roofing, barge boards, weatherboard and guttering will all be repaired, while the pool area will benefit from new pool paving, shade sails and sun loungers.

A well-established conferencing destination in the High Country, the resort’s meeting rooms and events facilities will be upgraded with new tables and chairs. Peaks Restaurant also receives new furniture including balcony settings, tables, chairs, bar tables and bar stools.

The Sebel Pinnacle Valley is owned by Accor Vacation Club, one of the region’s leading vacation ownership clubs with 24 resorts across Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. The club is developed by Travel + Leisure Co., a leading leisure travel company providing more than six million holidays to travellers around the world every year.

“One of the strengths of vacation ownership is the cyclical renewal of our portfolio, which ensures properties like The Sebel Pinnacle Valley continue to exceed the high standards expected by our nearly 30,000 members,” Travel + Leisure Co. vice president operatioins Duncan Mars said.

The Sebel Pinnacle Valley offers guests an expansive property featuring an adult pool, kids’ pool, sauna, tennis courts, gym, 18-hole mini golf course, barbecue facilities and complimentary outdoor parking. Peaks Restaurant serves breakfast every day, and dinner and drinks every night on Tuesdays to Saturdays.
