Accor Vacation Club has unveiled the $3 million renovation of The Sebel The Vines in Western Australia’s Swan Valley, led by Australian interior design studio, Mel Porter Design.

The refreshed aesthetic draws from the natural landscape and viticultural history of the Swan Valley – featuring earthy browns, warm greens and light sandstone colours that reference the rolling hills and bushland surrounding the property.

The spacious apartments have been transformed with new stone-look French-laid flooring, corner couches to sink into, new bedheads, new lighting, and new timber and sandstone vanities, benches and tables. Bespoke artworks created to honour the region’s winemaking legacy can also be found on the property.

“This renovation is part of our commitment to continually upgrade our spaces to ensure our members experience the highest quality accommodations wherever they go,” Accor Vacation Club CEO, Craig Wood, said.

“Whether guests are visiting for a romantic retreat, a wine weekend, or a family escape, every apartment has been transformed with the perfect balance of style and comfort, while providing a strong sense of place.”

The redesign celebrates natural materials, with locally sourced stone and timber at the forefront. From hand-finished joinery to tactile limestone features, the interiors reflect the layered textures of the valley itself. The colour palette is inspired by the seasonal hues of the vineyards – ochres, soft moss greens, and the warmth of late afternoon light over grapevines. In a nod to sustainability, quality used furnishings were donated to local charities, and suitable timber and stone repurposed to minimise environmental impact.

“The design language is all about warmth, connection to the land, and the feeling of home,” lead designer, Mel Porter, said. “We wanted each apartment to feel like an extension of the valley itself – welcoming, comfortable, and luxurious in an understated way.”

The Vines’ location remains unparalleled for wine lovers. Just a short drive from Perth, it provides easy access to the region’s finest vineyards, gourmet producers, and scenic countryside – which has long made The Vines a favourite destination. The resort’s new design reaffirms its standing as the quintessential Swan Valley retreat.

Members and guests have access to an outdoor pool, heated spa, squash courts, gymnasium, tennis courts, four restaurants and bars, a barbecue area, and games room. The resort is also adjacent to a 36-hole golf course, 18-hole mini golf course and an abundance of wineries, with regular sightings of kangaroos on the doorstep.

Accor Vacation Club is one of the region’s leading vacation clubs, offering its 30,000 members access to 24 beautiful properties across Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia. The club is managed and developed by Travel + Leisure Co., which provides more than six million vacations to travellers around the world every year.
