Last night, Adventure World celebrated the release of its inaugural Special Interest Journeys with some champagne tasting.

Featuring 12 exclusive experiences tailored to passion points such as literature, eco gardening and photography, the fresh catalogue of itineraries hit up some of the more exotic desitnations of the world, and are hosted by experts of the field.

Indira Naidoo, who marked the occasion last night at Alliance Franҫaise with a selection of champagnes, is one of the icons travellers can expect on the ‘Edible Balcony’ tour.

Naidoo joins the journey as an expert on sustainable, rooftop and edible gardens on an Eco Gardening journey through Europe.

Literature nerds can also discover the culture and literature made famous throughout Europe by Hemmingway, Shakespeare, Keats and Dickens with a highly respected Aussie journalist and literary expert, Jennifer Byrne.

And snap-happy discoverers rejoice, as photojournalist Ben Lowy, who specialises in smartphone photography, takes you through Cuba, teaching how to take great pics with a well-trained camera phone.

Other Special Interest Journeys now offered by Adventure World include discovering the masterpieces of the Renaissance in Italy with leading art critic and BBC presenter, Andrew Graham-Dixon, or experiencing Chile and Peru with a leading Astronomer.

Travellers can also join an active trip of boxing, yoga and meditation with a fitness expert in Phuket, track the culinary journey from paddock to plate with a chef in Africa, and learn the tricks of the antique trade with an expert at Europe’s finest Antique and Art Fair.

Adventurers who have been honing their language skills can also put these into practice with language experiences in Spain, Italy and French. In addition to practicing the art of conversation, guests will also enjoy immersive cooking classes, unique cultural insights and breath-taking sights.

Adventure World’s MD Fiona Hunt relishes the new experiences travellers can have with these tours.

“We are so excited to launch Adventure World’s first ever Special Interest Journeys,” she said.

“We have tapped into some of these passions, both popular and niche, to develop tailored experiences and have sought out the best experts in each field to act as hosts. The result is a series of truly unique and highly informative experiences in some of the world’s most exotic locations.

“These journeys provide the perfect complement to Adventure World’s 2015 Worldwide Collection and the brand ethos of delivering curated soft adventures tailored towards individual travel ideals.”

The 12 itineraries featured in Adventure World’s Special Interest Journeys series are available to book now, with the first trip commencing October 18, 2015.
