Adventure World has launched an exclusive Lapland adventure with its five-day Christmas in Lapland itinerary that brings the ultimate festive fairytale to life for travellers in 2026.

Lapland’s gateway town, Rovaniemi, is the officially recognised hometown of Santa Claus. While meeting the man in red is a major highlight, Adventure World’s Christmas in Lapland itinerary dives deeper into the enchantment, offering traditional Lappish culture and exhilarating Arctic adventures.

The 5-day/4-night itinerary has one exclusive departure on 23 December 2026, ensuring a very unique Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The journey blends festive tradition with Arctic exploration:

  • Santa Claus Village: Visit the iconic village to meet Santa Claus himself and stop by the Main Post Office to send letters home with a special Arctic Circle postmark.
  • Reindeer Farm Visit & Sleigh Ride: Immerse yourself in Lappish culture with a visit to a traditional reindeer farm, complete with a serene sleigh ride through the snowy landscape.
  • Arctic Circle Crossing Ceremony: Participate in a special ceremony to officially cross the Arctic Circle, receiving a memorable Diploma to commemorate the achievement.
  • Snowmobile Safari: Experience the thrill of navigating a snowmobile across frozen river valleys and snow-laden forests, offering spectacular views of the wilderness.
  • Aurora Borealis Adventure: Venture into the Lappish wilderness for a dedicated Northern Lights chase, enjoying the tranquillity of nature and traditional grilling by an open fire. This excursion includes a visit to the charming historic cottage, “Poro-Pekan Pirtti.”

Winter wonderland

“There’s nothing quite like experiencing a white Christmas in Finnish Lapland—it’s pure magic,” Adventure World product manager for the Nordic region Lubica Sibikova said.

“Finland’s pristine nature, with its untouched forests, crystal-clear lakes, and pure Arctic air offers a serene escape. From meeting Santa Claus to the special ceremony to cross the Arctic Circle, every moment of this itinerary brings fairytales to life, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime for families.”

With spaces extremely limited over the festive period, travellers are advised to book now to avoid disappointment and secure their spot for Christmas 2026.

  • Pricing: From AU$4,759pp / NZ$5,429pp, twin share.
  • Departure: 23 December 2026 (5 Days / 4 Nights).
  • Inclusions: Accommodation, all mentioned sightseeing activities, meals as specified (4 Breakfasts, 1 Lunch, 2 Dinners), and airport transfers.
