Perfect for first-time visitors or returning travellers looking to rediscover Vietnam, the itinerary includes centrally located accommodation, daily breakfast, private airport transfers and domestic flights between Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City, removing much of the logistical complexity often associated with multi-city travel in South East Asia.
At the heart of the itinerary are three distinctly different culinary experiences designed to showcase Vietnam’s rich regional identities and deeply social food culture.
In Hanoi, guests are introduced to the flavours of the capital on a guided street food walking tour through the city’s bustling laneways and local neighbourhoods. From fragrant bowls of pho and crispy nem ran to banh mi, sweet treats and the city’s famous egg coffee, the experience offers a sensory introduction to northern Vietnamese cuisine and everyday local life.
Vibrant foodie adventures
In Hoi An, guests move from tasting to creating during a hands-on cooking class at the renowned Red Bridge Cooking School. After exploring a vibrant local market alongside residents and selecting fresh herbs, seafood and produce, guests cruise along the Thu Bon River by private boat before learning traditional cooking techniques from local chefs and preparing authentic Vietnamese dishes themselves.
The journey then concludes in Ho Chi Minh City with a vibrant after-dark foodie adventure by scooter. Riding pillion through bustling streets, hidden laneways and lively residential districts, guests sample southern Vietnamese specialities including bánh xeo, fresh seafood, local desserts and Vietnamese-style beef stew, while gaining an insider’s perspective on Saigon’s famously energetic food scene and nightlife culture.
