Online travel platform Agoda has announced a raft of new support measures and dedicated services in Australia.

The new offerings follow a survey of some 7,000 Australian hotel owners sharing their experiences with Agoda.

Agoda has responded by launching a 24/7 partner response team, improving content shared with hotel partners about reservations and a series of initiatives to help attract domestic travellers into partners’ properties.

“Australian hoteliers told us clearly they wanted two things – localised support from Agoda and innovation to capture the latent desire for travel,” said Zsuzsanna Janos, director for Oceania at Agoda.

“So, for the first time globally, we have launched 24/7 access to our partner services helpdesk, ensuring our service better reflects the nature of how hoteliers do business.

“This additional service enhancement will complement the work conducted by our existing market managers by providing round-the-clock support for payments, reservations, room allotment issues or content issues that we can address almost immediately.”

Agoda’s 24/7 support and Partner Hub have been refined to host self-serve tools that give partners knowledge and insight to improve conversion and boost growth.

The platform allows partners to implement marketing strategies by managing rates, availability and hotel content and creating promotions and performance reports.

Agoda’s Partner Hub platform also provides industry news, latest travel trends and insights to help partners make more profitable decisions, with opportunities to learn from industry experts and attend upcoming industry events and webinars.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the online travel player has developed and launched products like GoLocal, GoLocal Tonight and Agoda Special Offers to help Aussie hoteliers pivot and attract domestic travellers.

And, after success in Malaysia, Agoda brought its ‘Vaxxed To Go’ campaign Down Under late last month to offer incentives for vaccinated Aussie travellers.

Earlier this week, Agoda announced an expansion of its advertising solutions to help partners tap into the platform’s audience of travellers, as well as rebranding its advertising business as Agoda Media Solutions.

In addition to display banner ads, Agoda’s platform now provides a more holistic media offering, including extensions to social media placements, content, email marketing, mobile app pushes and pop-ups.
