Air Tahiti and Air Tahiti Nui Airlines are strengthening their partnership with the signing of a codeshare agreement, providing visitors to The Islands of Tahiti with additional travel options and simplifying their travel planning process.
This agreement, signed on 22 December 2025, takes effect for reservations and trips starting 2 June 2026.
From this date, Air Tahiti Nui will apply its TN code to selected flights operated by the domestic airline, providing visitors to Bora Bora and Rarotonga with a simplified, seamless booking & travel experience with Air Tahiti Nui from Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Japan, and the United States of America.
This agreement will initially apply to two flight routes:
- Bora Bora with 6 daily flights, operated on an ATR72 aircraft
- Rarotonga with 2 flights per week, operated on an ATR72 aircraft
Air Tahiti Nui flights are exclusively operated on a fleet of Boeing 787-9 aircraft, known as Tahitian Dreamliners. Air Tahiti inter-island flights are operated on ATR 72 (70 seats) and ATR 42 (48 seats) aircraft, currently in economy or premium class. From December 2026, an “all business” option will also be available.
A significant milestone for travel to The Islands of Tahiti
For the CEOs of both companies, “these agreements mark a new step in the close commercial cooperation between Air Tahiti Nui and Air Tahiti, initiated several years ago.”
“By connecting our networks, we will offer our customers a more seamless experience with a single ticket to their final destination,” Air Tahiti Nui CEO Philippe Marie said. “This is a crucial first step in strengthening our joint offering with Air Tahiti, which we intend to expand with new routes soon. We look forward to offering this to our customers to further enhance the quality of our service.”
“We are proud to see Air Tahiti flights operated under a codeshare agreement with Air Tahiti Nui,” Air Tahiti CEO Edouard Wong Fat said. “This new partnership between Air Tahiti and Air Tahiti Nui reinforces the strong and natural ties that unite our two airline.”
