Home-sharing giant Airbnb has announced the appointment of Parin Mehta as its director for the Asia-Pacific region.
In this role, Mehta will lead Airbnb’s Homes and Experiences divisions, and be responsible for the long-term growth of the company across APAC.
Mehta was previously director of Airbnb Experiences for APAC and was responsible for launching the business division across the region, including Online Experiences in 2020.
He has been based in Singapore for the last 10 years, previously serving as head of strategic partnerships for Southeast Asia at Google.
Airbnb’s global head of hosting, Catherine Powell, said: “We are thrilled to have Parin step up into this critical role and lead Airbnb in APAC.
“Parin’s entrepreneurial spirit and leadership style will be invaluable in helping us continue to serve our community of hosts and guests and navigate what remains an incredibly challenging time for both the travel industry and wider community.”
