Airport Safety Week is returning from 13 to 17 October 2025, with the theme “One Airport, One Safety Culture”, highlighting the importance of consistency and collaboration in safety practices across the Australian aviation sector.
Safety remains the highest priority in aviation, and this annual event provides a valuable opportunity for the entire airport community to share insights and strengthen the safety culture that underpins the industry.
Airports and aviation partners across Australia are taking part in the Australian Airports Association (AAA) initiative, which continues to grow in reach and impact each year.
Throughout the week, AAA members and the broader airport community are encouraged to take part in a range of activities, including daily safety themes, webinars, quizzes and practical toolkits. A suite of resources will also be available to help airports enhance their safety culture.
“Airport Safety Week is a powerful reminder that safety is a shared responsibility,” AAA CEO Simon Westaway said. “This year’s theme encourages every airport to align its systems and practices to foster a consistent safety culture across each airport and the broader industry.
“Airport Safety Week continues to be a cornerstone event for the sector, helping members connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen their safety frameworks.”
