Rental accommodation manager Alloggio has made a call to action for all tourism operators to collaborate due to fierce competition.

The announcement comes as Australia gears up to open to the rest of the world from 21 February.

Yesterday, CEO and founder of Alloggio, Will Creedon, urged providers to prepare themselves for the massive wave of travellers to Aussie shores.

“We need to be ready for the rest of the world to land on our shores in seven days, and we need to provide those travellers with what they’re looking for,” Creedon said.

“Safe, stunning holiday destinations, which Australia has in spades and are ready to show-off after a tourism hiatus lasting almost 24 months.”

Alloggio wants tourism operators to unite on holiday itineraries, local offerings, activities and experiences to travellers before they step foot on their aircraft to come to Australia.

The accommodation provider said that due to tough competition, tourism operators will need to “hunt as a pack.”

“The decision to re-welcome international travellers to Australia has been made, what we make of it, is up to us,” Creedon said.

Australia is set to reopen its international border’s next week after two years of being closed to the world.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the milestone following a meeting of the National Security Council.

“We have been progressively opening our borders since November of last year,” Morrison said, in reference to Australia’s travel bubbles with New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and South Korea as well as its opening up to international students, backpackers and economic migrants.

“That will now be extended, principally, to international visitors who will be able to return. The condition is you must be double vaccinated to come to Australia.

“That’s the rule. Everyone is expected to abide by it.

“Your visa is one thing, but your entry into Australia requires you also to be double vaccinated. And I think events earlier in the year should have sent a very clear message, I think, to everyone around the world that that is the requirement to enter into Australia.”
