Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania kicks off Month of Lei celebrations

Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania (HTO) is celebrating the ‘Month of Lei’ in 2019 by presenting several events and destination training to trade media and travel agents during May.

Across the Hawaiian Islands, Lei Day is celebrated on 1 May annually, recognising Hawaiian culture. The lei symbolises the Aloha spirit – an expression of hospitality, unity and kindness.

For the month of May, HTO is hosting hosting events, launching famil incentives and campaigns providing the travel trade with plenty of holiday inspiration.

Representatives from the visitor bureaux of Maui, O‘ahu, Kaua‘i and the Island of Hawai‘i are joining HTO for the celebrations.
