Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania promotes romantic getaways in new digital campaign

Dinner date in Hawaii

Love is in the air at Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania (HTO), with the organisation leaning on romance and couples’ holidays as a key promotional strategy for the third quarter of 2019.

With couples making up 24 per cent of travellers from Oceania, HTO has recognised this as an important market for visitation to the Hawaiian Islands, partnering with Expedia and Hawaiian Airlines on a new integrated digital campaign across Australia and New Zealand.

The multi-faceted campaign promotes holidays for couples through consumer direct, trade and public relations activities.

The ultimate guide to Oahu’s craft beer scene

Honolulu Beerworks

Beer lovers don’t have to look far to find a quality selection of locally-made beers on Oahu.

Hawaii has long been home of the tropical cocktail, but in the past few years a booze rebirth has taken place in the Islands, and Oahu is quickly catching up to the mainland when it comes to quality, locally-made beer.

On Oahu, the hip, evolving neighbourhood of Kakaako has become the island’s craft brew hub. There are three ‘brewpubs’ – breweries plus restaurants – all within walking distance of each other.

You can also find quality beer in the heart of Waikiki, and taprooms (beer tasting establishments) near the University of Hawaii campus in Moiliili and in Kailua on Oahu’s windward side.

And Oahu isn’t the only island churning out quality suds. Even better, there are dozens of local bars and restaurants (even grocery stores) selling these brewed-in-Hawaii beers.

Click here for a guide on where to go to drink a pint or two of quality craft beer, direct from the source.
