Narej Farik will lead Amora Hotels & Resorts’ development strategy as chief development officer in a bid to expand the group’s footprint across Australia and Asia.
Farik has more than three decades of experience in the global hospitality industry, having held senior roles with Marriott International, Oberoi Hotels and Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts. His extensive background spans sales, marketing, brand expansion and development projects.
Farik has also worked as a consultant on more than 20 hotels and resorts across the Asia-Pacific region, developing his expertise in operator selection, hotel technician services and end-to-end hospitality consultancy.
In 2023, he joined Amora Hotels & Resorts as group director of business development and asset management, where he has played a key role in advancing the group’s development ambitions.
His experience in the property development sector has been instrumental in shaping the brand’s expansion strategy, including contributing to the acquisition of the iconic Adelaide Hilton and the redevelopment and rebranding of Amora Herencia Riverwalk in Melbourne.
Owner and CEO of Amora Hotels & Resorts Earp Siriphatrawan said that the appointment is both a recognition of Farik’s past achievements and a clear signal of the company’s ambition for the future.
“Over the past few years, Narej has played a pivotal role in driving our strategy of expansion. I am confident that with Narej leading development, Amora is well positioned to grow faster, deploy capital more strategically, and become a leading hotel group.”
Farik said he looks forward to identifying new opportunities to expand the brand’s portfolio and further enhance Amora’s presence across key markets.
“I am honoured to take on the role of chief development officer at Amora Hotels and Resorts. The group has a strong foundation and a clear vision for growth and our plans for expansion and brand establishment are gathering momentum,” he said.
