Amora Hotels & Resorts has appointed John Bristowe as general manager of Amora Hotel Brisbane.
With more than 20 years of hospitality leadership experience across Australia and New Zealand, Bristowe brings extensive expertise in hotel operations, commercial performance and guest experience.
He has held senior leadership roles with leading hospitality groups including TFE Hotels and Stamford Hotels & Resorts. Bristowe’s experience spans luxury hotels, apartment hotels, conference and events operations and large-scale accommodation businesses.
Most recently, he served as director of operations at Urban Rest, overseeing a national serviced apartment portfolio and managing complex accommodation assets across multiple markets.
As general manager, Bristowe will oversee operations at Amora Hotel Brisbane, with a focus on enhancing guest experience, supporting team development and building the hotel’s reputation within Brisbane’s premium hospitality market.
Chief operating officer of Amora Hotels & Resorts Tamer Habib said that the group was pleased to welcome Bristowe to the Brisbane hotel.
“He brings significant industry experience and a strong operational background, and we look forward to the contribution he will make to the hotel and the team,” Habib said.
Bristowe said he looked forward to build on the strong foundations established following the hotel’s repositioning under the Amora brand.
“Amora Hotel Brisbane is a wonderful property with a talented team and significant opportunity for continued growth. Brisbane is one of Australia’s most exciting hospitality markets, supported by strong investment, major events and growing visitor demand,” he said.
