The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has announced Andrew Sullivan, director at the Don’t Forget Travel Group, as the winner of the ATAS24 social-media-showcase competition.
Sullivan’s LinkedIn post made a lasting impression, standing out with a creative video highlighting the value of being ATAS-accredited and the importance of consumers dealing with an ATAS-accredited agent.
He takes his network on his travels, highlighting the many benefits of ATAS, including being recognised as an agency with the protections in place to provide the best experience possible for travellers, as well as being a financially-sound travel agency.
As the winner, Andrew will be heading to Singapore aboard ATIA’s strategic partner and NTIA major sponsor, Singapore Airlines.
ATIA also recognises several outstanding entries, such as:
- Simone Lewis (On the Road Travel Group) – Her post showcased her ATAS accreditation on printed t-shirts and captured the value of ATAS. That is, bringing assurance to travellers that their travel agents are committed to going above and beyond to provide quality services.
- Kate Collins and Jackie Male (Angas Travel): Their Instagram post reinforced that agents who are ATAS-accredited meet the highest industry standards, giving clients exceptional service and the reassurance they are being looked after.
- Hastwell Travel and Cruise: Their post highlighted the benefits that ATAS accreditation brings to the travel industry.
- Travel with a Cause: The post reinforced the importance of ATAS accreditation, with a cameo from Toby, their travel dog.
ATIA acting CEO, Ingrid Fraser, said: “We’re thrilled by the creativity and authenticity displayed in this year’s showcase. As summed up so well by Andrew, ATAS is about having the backs of Aussie travellers, no matter where they are in the world.
“ATAS accreditation is a mark of distinction, signalling to customers that they are in safe, reliable hands. We congratulate Andrew and all our special mentions for showcasing the best of our industry.
Each of our special mentions also did an outstanding job at capturing the very essence of ATAS.”
