APT, together with Seabourn, are celebrating a landmark moment following the completion of their first-ever APT chartered voyage to Kimberley, an inaugural sailing under the partnership.

The coastal sailing marks the launch of the APT–Seabourn partnership announced in early 2024 – a collaboration that has now been confirmed to continue through to 2028, including expanded luxury cruising in the Mediterranean.

The sold-out voyage aboard the ultra-luxury Seabourn Pursuit carried 264 APT guests through one of Australia’s most remote and spectacular regions. Highlights included the towering King George Falls, witnessing Montgomery Reef dramatically rise out of the ocean, and the awe-inspiring Horizontal Falls – where the tides create a natural spectacle unlike anywhere else on Earth.

“This inaugural voyage is the perfect example of what we set out to achieve when we partnered with Seabourn – extraordinary destinations experienced in a way that feels seamless, enriching and special, APT Travel Group CEO, David Cox, said. “Seeing the first images and hearing the stories from our guests and team onboard has been incredibly rewarding. It confirms that this collaboration has real power to redefine what luxury expedition cruising can be.”

The collaboration between APT and Seabourn blends nearly a century of APT’s land and touring expertise with Seabourn’s unmatched capabilities in ultra-luxury ocean and expedition travel. Guests on this maiden sailing experienced APT’s signature curated itineraries and expert Cruise Director, elevated by Seabourn’s outstanding all-suite oceanfront accommodations and a world-class expedition team of naturalists, scientists and historians.

Designed for adventure and comfort, Seabourn Pursuit is purpose-built to PC6 Polar Class standards, combining cutting-edge technology with refined luxury. Guests enjoyed eight distinctive dining venues, nearly 30,000 square feet of open deck space with sweeping 270-degree views, and enhanced connectivity via Starlink Wi-Fi. A 4K GSS Cineflex camera, mounted on the ship’s mast, streamed live footage from miles ahead into the ship’s lounges, adding to the sense of immersive exploration.

The success of this first Kimberley departure is just the beginning. More expeditions under the APT–Seabourn banner are already on the horizon – not only aboard Seabourn Pursuit, but also her sister ship Seabourn Venture. Future journeys will span Iceland, the United Kingdom & Ireland, Greenland, the Mediterranean, and Antarctica.

As Seabourn Pursuit concluded her journey in Broome last week, it was clear the shared ambition behind the partnership – to set a new standard for immersive, luxurious exploration – is already taking shape.
