APT is taking off in an exciting new direction with the announcement of its brand new travel style: Private Air Tours.
This series of luxury holidays includes all flights aboard a privately chartered aircraft, designed for guests to travel with ease to some of the most remote and beautiful locations in Australia, while enjoying bird’s eye views and visiting iconic landmarks.
Commenting on the new initiative, the APT Travel Group chief David Cox said private air touring offers a genuine alternative to commercial airline travel in this uncertain era.
“Our itineraries are handcrafted around iconic Australian sights, both from the air and on the ground, and our selection of aircraft, schedules and flight paths match this, allowing guests to travel in comfort across vast distances in a short amount of time,” he said.
“As we all know, the travel industry has changed dramatically. Many scheduled commercial flights have been cancelled, and the reality is we don’t know when they will resume.
“By chartering a private aircraft and designing itineraries to match our guests’ needs, we can offer a unique holiday experience that is possible in this new travel landscape.
“We are excited to add this new travel style to our portfolio and know it is a perfect fit for our product range.”
Cox said the first departure of APT’s Private Air Tours took place last month and was a sell-out.
“It was our first tour since March with 58 Queenslanders spending nine beautiful days exploring Outback Queensland,” he said.
“The reception has been incredible since that trip and we know our travel agent partners will be keen to offer their clients these new itineraries.”
A second departure is now on sale and will depart Brisbane on 18 November 2020. It will takes guests by private plane from Queensland to Kangaroo Island, Port Augusta and Uluru with two nights in each location (the itinerary can be found here).
In early November, APT will release its range of Private Air Tours departing in 2021, which will include headliners ‘Queensland Outback & Tropics’ ‘West Coast & The Kimberley’ and ‘Southern Ocean to the Top End’. Assets will be available for agents on ATG Connect in line with the full program release.
APT’s Private Air Tour guests will benefit from the use of private departure terminals in a number of locations allowing for quick and easy embarkation/disembarkation.
Once landing in the heart of destinations, some not accessible by larger commercial jets, guests will stay in luxury (or the region’s best available) accommodation and have time to relax and indulge, with many gourmet dining experiences included, as well as having the opportunity to discover more about the special places they are visiting.
APT’s Private Air Tours meet all new APT and airline partner health and safety protocols, including pre-departure screening.
