APT Travel Group brought a taste of the Australian outback to Melbourne with a showcase of their custom-designed Mercedes-Benz 4WD vehicles used for thrilling outback adventures.

On October 31st, these vehicles customed built for the rugged Australian Outback made a special appearance at one of APT’s vibrant consumer events in Sandringham, as well as at APT Travel Group’s Melbourne head office.

APT Travel Group’s co-owner and director, Rob McGeary, was on hand to welcome guests, adding a personal touch as he shared stories from his recent visit to the Kimberley. There, he explored the newly refurbished Mitchell Falls Lodge and experienced the comfort of these custom vehicles.

“We’re incredibly proud to showcase our 4WD vehicles. The Kimberley holds a special place for our family—it’s close to our hearts, and we’ve been exploring it since the 1970’s” said McGeary. “These custom-designed 22-seat Mercedes-Benz vehicles are made for this remote region and guided by our passionate driver-guides who love sharing its special and hidden wonders. There’s nothing like being immersed in such an extraordinary part of Australia.”

The 4WD vehicles are far more than just transport; they bring a touch of luxury to the outback with leather seats, in-seat USB ports, air conditioning, and high-impact suspension, making journeys through the rugged landscapes as comfortable as possible.

Event attendees enjoyed a range of activities, including photo opportunities with the vehicles, a chance to connect with an expert Kimberley guide, and insights from APT and Travelmarvel’s BDM team on the unique outback experiences awaiting them. The event brought the outback offerings to life, equipping prospective travellers with in-depth knowledge of the unforgettable journeys that APT and Travelmarvel offer. Sessions also highlighted APT Travel Group’s other global destinations, including Europe, Asia, Africa, Antarctica and more.
