The 1000 Mile Travel Group (1000MTG) has announced the appointment of their new cohort of North American Ambassadors.

These exceptional professionals will serve a two-year term, sharing the organization’s mission and delivering their message both within and outside the organisation.

“Our ambassadors play a crucial role in representing the values and vision of 1000 Mile Travel Group, 1000MTG CEO and co-founder, Ben Ross, said. “The dedication and expertise of our new ambassadors will undoubtedly help us strengthen our community and expand our reach. We are excited to work with such a talented group of individuals.”

They were selected based on their exceptional business niche, initiatives, preferred supplier engagement, accomplishments, and unique qualities that make them stand out.

“Selecting our ambassadors is a meticulous process, and we are proud to have chosen individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and leadership within the travel industry,” 1000MTG senior vice president and general manager for North America, Christy Shafer, added. “We look forward to celebrating their contributions and supporting their efforts over the next two years.”

1000MTG attended the Virtuoso Travel Week with a contingent of ambassadors and hosted an Ambassador Breakfast in collaboration with Globus on 14 August.

“Our ambassadors enjoy numerous benefits to reward them for their expertise and commitment including complimentary attendance at Virtuoso Travel Week and subsidized attendance at the Annual 1000 MTG Conference, plus priority access to Fam Trips,” 1000MTG CEO and co-founder, Nicola Veltman, said.

Ambassadors also received a plethora of other benefits including being highlighted on the Supplier List of Advisors, an ASTA Membership Discount, opportunities to connect with other Ambassadors online and in person, Advisory Board participation, priority support status, and direct access to senior leadership.

“More importantly, the program provides a platform to brainstorm and share ideas, obtain previews of supplier insights and business updates, and gives advisors the chance to join the Ambassador Alumni program following their time as Ambassadors so they can continue their involvement,” Veltman added.
