Ahead of Leap Day 2024, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is encouraging travellers to embrace their extra calendar day with a cruise booking, unveiling a unique flash sale on some of the brand’s most popular European itineraries with 2-for-1 fares.

The surprise activation marks one of the biggest discounts for the brand – up to 50 per cent off all-inclusive luxury river cruise sailings.

“Leap Year is returning to our calendars for the first time in four years, and to celebrate this rare occurrence, we’re offering an equally rare savings opportunity to our guests,” said Ellen Bettridge, president and CEO of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises.

“We want to encourage travellers to seize the (extra) day and book those bucket-list trips for spring and summer. This sale gives guests, both brand new and repeat, the opportunity to experience a quintessential Uniworld sailing, at a price point that only comes around every few years.”

The Leap Year Flash Sale will begin on Wednesday February 14, and run until Leap Day, February 29. Each week, a batch of 10 cruises will be released at a 2-for-1 discount, with the second and third batch of sailings being released on February 20 and February 26, respectively. Guests have until Leap Day to book their sailings, unless sold our prior.

Included in the sale are some of Uniworld’s most popular last-minute European itineraries for 2024. First-round sailings include ‘Brilliant Bordeaux’ featuring France’s backdrops and wine culture across three rivers on the S.S. Bon Voyage; ‘Burgundy & Provence’ journeying through southern France and exploring local cuisine and art onboard the S.S. Catherine; ‘Highlights of Eastern Europe’ on the classic Danube River from Budapest to Bucharest sailing 13 July on the S.S. Beatrice, and more. Guests should stay tuned to discover additional sailings and experiences that will be unveiled here as part of the sale throughout February.

Beyond the Leap Year flash sale savings, Uniworld is currently offering 2024 Solo Traveller Savings, waiving the Single Supplement on select itineraries. Trips include ‘Venice & The Jewels of Veneto’ where guests can experience one of the most charming cities in the world onboard the S.S. La Venezia via the only cruise line sailing in the Venetian lagoon; ‘Castles Along the Rhine’ for a classic river cruise experience onboard the brand’s newest Super Ship, S.S. Victoria, and more.

Additionally, Uniworld’s 2024 Cruise Savings Event is live with savings of up to $4,000 per person. Guests can choose from various 2024 itineraries, such as journeys in India, Peru, Vietnam, Europe and beyond. Uniworld’s 2024 Solo Traveller Savings and 2024 Cruise Savings Event are valid on new bookings made by February 29.
