Atura continues expansion
By admin

Atura Dandenong in Victoria has opened its doors becoming the third Australian property for Amalgamated Holdings Limited (AHL); just weeks after the group announced plans to expand into regional NSW and celebrated the opening of its flagship Atura Blacktown property in Western Sydney.

AHL will oversee the Chiefly Doveton rebranded and reimagined to become an edgier, high-design, high-value Atura Dandenong, the first for the group outside of New South Wales.

Planned refurbishment will include a renovation of the public spaces by QT Hotels & Resorts and Atura Hotels interior designer to complement its interior spaces with an urban, industrial and art-inspired edge.

“This property, our first outside New South Wales, is testament to the success of our flagship property Atura Blacktown and the growing appetite amongst young, savvy business and leisure travelers for unique, highly experiential mid-market accommodation,” AHL managing director, David Seargeant said.

“With a focus on great design at affordable prices and packed with personality, Atura Hotels offers the design-savvy traveler a break from the everyday with a completely fresh take on mid-range travel.”

Seasoned hotel-industry veteran Lisa Parker has been appointed as general manager for the property, which will include an onsite micro-brewery.

“We’re excited about the launch of Atura Dandenong and believe the brand’s dynamic, urban style will be a great addition to the local accommodation, entertainment and dining offering,” Parker said.

“We are looking forward to growing the property’s appeal as a local conferencing, wedding and special events venue and accommodation destination for the local business community.”
