Carnival piles on cruise capacity
By admin

Carnival Cruise Lines is injecting more capacity into the Australian market as it released details of its 2015/16 season.

Carnival Legend will return for a second season to sail alongside Carnival Spirit in what will be the cruise lines largest program Down Under. It will offer 143 cruises, a rise of 40% on the 14/15 season.

The 2680-guest Legend, which has just completed a refit for the Australian market, is due in Sydney this September for its inaugural season.

Along with South Pacific itineraries, voyages include a return to Tasmania while two 13-night cruises between Brisbane and Singapore – departing August 3 and 30 next year – will give Queenslanders their “first chance to sail on Carnival from their doorstep”, the cruise line said. Prices start from $1499 per person twin share.

Melbourne Cup cruises in 2015 and 2016 are included while two 15-night cruises to and from Singapore on Carnival Spirit take in Lombok and Bali.

Cruises go on sale on June 5.
