Discover the World sets sail

Discover the World’s elite partners discovered just how much hard work sailing is at their inaugural Elite Partner Sailing Regatta on Sydney Harbour yesterday.

Split into three All Leisure Group teams; team Minerva, after Swan Hellenic’s majestic country house styled cruise ship, team Voyager, after Voyages of Discovery’s spacious and contemporary cruise ship, and team Hebridean Princess, after Hebridean Island Cruises unique and unforgettable luxury ship, the day was one of fierce competition on the water.

The teams quickly learnt  how to hoist sails, pull jibs, duck booms and grind like crazy to be the first across the finish line in a number of races throughout the day.

The day finished with a BBQ lunch at the d’Albora Marina at Rushcutters Bay, where rubber duck awards were handed out to the top performers on the water.

Hosted by Swan Hellenic, Voyages of Discovery and Hebridean Island Cruises, manager of cruise, product and analytics, Roger Condon, thanked the partners for their support throughout what has been a successful year.
