Helen Wong's Tours has inked a deal with New Zealand retailer House of Travel that will see the wholesaler sell its China program across the Tasman for the first time.

Helen Wong, the firm's managing director and founder, described the agreement as an "exciting move" and revealed it had been in the making for "some time".

"By having such an important partnership we will broaden our reputation beyond our traditional Australian market," she said. "Now we have a great opportunity to showcase our comprehensive program to what is seen as a growing New Zealand market."

The brochures produced for House of Travel will also feature the quick response (QR) codes which have recently been added to its Australian brochures, offering "vritual tour" video coverage of areas featured in the program to smartphone users.

Meanwhile, House of Travel expressed excitement at the chance to sell the range of China itineraries.

"China has been a growing market in New Zealand over the past few years," a spokesperson said.

Both firms are this year celebrating their 25th anniversaries.
