Indian airline Jet Airways and Jetstar have signed an interline agreement offering travellers simplified connections between India and Jetstar’s Asia Pacific destinations through its Singapore hub.

Under the agreement, Jet Airways customers can book a single combined ticket on Jetstar, Jetstar Asia or Jetstar Pacific flights in one transaction and travel itinerary sold on a Jet Airways E-ticket.
Jetstar Group chief commercial officer David Koczkar described India as one of the region’s strongest travel markets.
“This innovative agreement will allow both airlines to cater for the growing appetite for air travel from the emerging Indian middle class,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jet chief commercial officer Sudheer Raghavan branded the agreement a “win-win” for both airlines.
“Especially since it provides our passengers with good options to reach more East Asian cities and Australia seamlessly beyond our present online points, and vice versa,” he said.
Jetstar will accommodate the Jet Airways baggage allowance, with bags to be through-tagged for international to international connections. Complimentary onboard offerings such as meals and comfort packs will be provided on connecting Jetstar long haul services.
The new combined fares are available for purchase through travel agents, online or through the Jet Airways’ reservations call centre.
