Magellan Travel Group has taken its membership to 74 with four agents set to join the network next month – and a further three are in the pipeline.

South Australia-based Angas Travel, Brighton Travelworld in Melbourne, Felix Travel in NSW and WA-based Travel Practice will become part of Magellan from July 1.

Three more agents, in Victoria, NSW and South Australia, will join in October.

“We are delighted to have such successful, established and high achieving agents join Magellan,” chief executive Andrew Macfarlane said.

Angas Travel, an independent agent formed 30 years ago, specialises in school, cultural and musical tours and is owned and managed by Kate Collins and Jackie Male.

High end leisure and boutique corporate agency, Brighton Travelworld, was established in 1968 and is led by managing directors Julie Avery and Keiran Cromie while Felix Travel, in Sydney’s CBD, is part of Transglobal Travel which also operates Chat Tours and represents Jat Airways.

Felix is led by well-known industry figure Tony Brazenell and general manager Rowena Brazenell with retail, group incentive and the visiting, friends and relatives market among its mix of business

Travel Practice, meanwhile, focuses on high-end leisure and corporate travel. Owner Nick Roberts has passed control of the business to daughter Anna.
