Wotif.com has hit its one millionth real review for Australian hotels, and has celebrated the milestone by releasing the favourite places to stay in Australia’s top destinations.

While Adelaide came in first in the recent battle of major cities, Melbourne has taken the crown for top rated hotel in Australia.

The Langham in Melbourne has been rated the best hotel on Wotif.com, with an overall review score of 4.74 out of five.

Product director Donna Rodios said there’s no denying The Langham in Melbourne is an iconic luxury property, with repeated descriptions of the hotel including things like ‘outstanding service’, ‘go the extra mile’ and ‘professional’.

“Some of the most popular words used to describe The Langham on Wotif.com guest reviews are a testament to its high standard of customer service,” Rodios said.

The managing director of The Langham Melbourne Ben Sington said he was delighted with the hotel’s ranking.

“It is pleasing when Wotif.com guests take the time to share their experience with other travellers,” Sington said. “It is extremely motivating to receive such an endorsement.”

The Westin Sydney is the second top hotel according to Wotif.com reviewers, followed by The Playford Adelaide-MGallery.
