Gay travel specialist Gay Globe will operate its first small group tour to Burma next year with a 10-day itinerary starting in Yangon.

The tour includes a spa treatment on arrival in Yangon, a visit to Popa Taungkalat monastery, wine tasting in the Red Mountain Vineyard and a tour by horse cart through Bagan.

It costs from $3390 per person based on twin share accommodation.

 

Competition regulators have issued revised guidelines for monitoring service quality at airports, with new ratings to assess the standard of taxi facilities and availability of kerbside space for passenger pick-up and drop-off.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) said such issues are "becoming increasingly important".

New and updated guidelines will also apply to baggage reclaim and check-in.

 

Travel Indochina has launched a rewards program for the trade giving agents the chance to experience its range of product in Asia.

A series of incentives are up for grabs, including free nights in Thailand and Bangkok, river cruises and city stays, which are based on FIT bookings made from now until September 15.

 

Niche wholesaler Bhutan & Beyond has introduced three tour private tours to Nepal, all designed specifically for Australian travellers.

The tours are the seven-night Kathmandu Valley Explorer, nine-night Images of Nepal and 14-night Nepal Delights and Ghorepani Trek.
