Peregrine launches new luxury brand
By admin

Adventure travel specialist Peregrine has brushed off prophecies of doom and gloom with the launch of Peregrine Reserve, a new brand offering travellers an “authentic luxury travel experience”.
Despite ongoing concerns of an imminent downturn, managing director Glenyce Johnson insisted that the operator was simply “not feeling the uncertainty” and was adamant that people still wanted to take holidays.
“People are still prioritising travel,” she told Travel Today.
The new program of 21 itineraries featuring smaller boutique properties has been devised in response to growing demand for unique experiences with a luxury twist, Johnson said, supported by recent research by the operator which revealed a 48% increase in luxury spend over the last four years.
But she also stressed that many of the trips had been kept short enough to ensure that they remained affordable.
Flexibility was another major selling point, with travellers able to pick their preferred departure date.
“Travellers have indicated that departure date is a key driver for which company they go with,” she said.
The new brand is already receiving a good response from the trade, she claimed, confirming that a new brochure was on the cards for December 1, with the number of itineraries set to rise to 50.
