Pinpoint upbeat as SIA Holidays contract ends
By admin

Pinpoint Travel Group (PTG) is confident that shifting product currently sold under Singapore Airline’s SIA Holidays to its own recently revamped Freestyle Holidays brand will significantly drive sales growth.

It will move all products currently sold under SIA Holidays to Freestyle from April 1, when Wendy Wu Tours takes over the Singapore Airlines contract.

The increased flexibility for agents to book additional airlines through Freestyle is expected to drive sales at an faster rate with sales of its Maldives portfolio specifically expected to exceed the 13% growth achieved by the program over the last year, according to PTG general manager Alison Powers.

“We have enjoyed a good relationship with Singapore Airlines over the years, and will continue to have preferred arrangements in place for all destinations,” she said. “However we’re now in a position to take the Maldives to the next level under a strong and revitalised brand.”

Last year, Freestyle underwent a strategic review which saw it emerge with a new look, improved customer service offering and more competitive pricing.

“We’ve seen unprecedented double digit growth in the first half of the year and agents are telling us we’re on the right track, which is being reflected in our results," Power said. "The next year will enable us to have a greater focus on building this key brand.”

The Freestyle Holidays Maldives brochure will be released at the end of February.  All other destinations currently available through Singapore Airlines Holidays will also be sold through Freestyle Holidays from April 1.
