Agents got a taste of Peru through an inspiring and educating PromPeru Roadshow that toured the country showcasing Peru’s diverse and vibrant tourism offerings.

While sipping on Pisco Sour’s and celebrating all things Peruvian, agents mingled with suppliers and Peru Representatives including Rosana Guinea – Incoming Tourism Coordinator PromPeru – Asia & Pacific, Manuela Nielsen – PromPeru Australia Representative, Caroline Brunel – PromPeru Australia Representative, Gabriel Pacheco – Consul General of Peru and Ricardo Salamanca – Deputy Consul General of Peru.

Agents spoke to key partners including: Adventure World, SATO, Contours, Scenic Tours, Natural Focus Safaris, Travel Projects, Chimu Adventures, Tempo Holidays, Movidas, South American Travel Specialists, Tucan Travel, G Adventures, Intrepid, Perwegrine, Geckos, South America Travel Centre and LAN Airlines, to gain valuable knowledge while completing their “Peru Passport”, which was used to go into the draw to win a major prize.

Showcasing the destination, PromPeru hopes to add to the already steady flow of Australians into the country so far this year. For the year to June, some 20,000 Australians visited Peru, well on track to surpass last year’s figures.

PromPeru told Travel Today that arrivals have been on continuous incline, attributed to connectivity and awareness which most recently has been due to Peru’s food scene on the international stage and stories/chefs coming out of the region.
