Qantas Holidays has launched what it claims is one of the industry’s biggest promotional drives in years with thousands of customers in line to have their flights refunded.

The wholesaler will randomly select one day of the month with anyone departing on a Qantas Holidays package that day across May, June, July, August, September and October to get their money back on the airfare.
Qantas Holidays and its retail partners will spend more than $1 million promoting the offer.

“All Jetset, Harvey World Travel, Travelscene and Travelworld agencies in Australia are participating in the campaign along with other travel agencies across Australia,” Qantas Holidays general manager Michael Londregan said. “We have also received great support from our partner network and between us over a million dollars will be spent promoting the offer."

The date will be drawn on July  5. To qualify, customers must book a Qantas Holidays package of at least one nights’ accommodation and a Qantas airfare. Bookings must be paid in full by June 30 for travel between now and October 31.

Agents also stand to benefit. Retailers who make bookings for the selected date will be entered into a prize draw with five prizes of one million Trip points up for grabs. Each booking provides one entry into the draw.

“This promotion stands to deliver many winners for both the consumer and trade,” manager national industry sales Fiona Dalton said.
