Qantas completes 747 overhaul
By admin

Qantas has completed the $250 million interior revamp of nine B747-400 aircraft.

The 14-month project has included the installation of sleeper seats in business class, removal of the first class cabin, new on-demand in flight entertainment and new economy seats.

Alison Webster, Qantas executive manager of international customer service, said: "One of the goals we have set ourselves is to be best for global travellers. That largely comes down to service, it comes down to network and it comes down to product, and the upgrade of the 747 interior is part of that."
