Qantas hits campaign target

Qantas hits campaign target
By admin

The new interactive campaign unveiled by Qantas on Friday has already surpassed 30,500 subscribers, and nailed its target of raising $100,000 for charity on its first day.

The You’re the Reason We Fly campaign, which focuses on social media and Qantas’ own resources, encourages people to upload their photos for a chance to be featured in the TV advert when it launches.

Qantas was also donating $5 to Mission Australia for every person who submitted a picture, up to $100,000, which was achieved on the first day.

According to the Qantas.com.au/you site 30,500 people had created accounts to upload pictures by today.

Marketing head Lewis Pullen said the first interactive phase of the campaign had been kept deliberately short, just three weeks, to avoid problems experienced by similar endeavours.

Passengers also have the chance to have their names put on the side of a plane as part of the promotion, which is intended to help show the company has moved on from problems which have dogged it for the past few years.
