Royal Caribbean is likely to come out with a second recruitment drive for its Cruising for Excellence online agent training program after reporting a strong take up for the scheme.

Around 2000 agents have signed up since its launch before Christmas with approximately 200 completing all modules and becoming ‘admirals’.

The scheme provides in depth training on three brands, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Azamara, with a total of 35 modules. Agents who complete modules on one brand have ‘captain’ status.

“It is working well and we are pleased with the take up,” commercial manager Adam Armstrong said. “We will probably come out with a second wave to attract those agents who have slipped through the net and remind those who have become captains to complete the other modules.”
