Outgoing Cox and Kings chief executive Steve Reynolds will return to London next month to take up the role of general manager of Flight Centre-owned Back-Roads Touring.

Reynolds revealed last month that he is stepping down from Cox and Kings with his desire for a new challenge behind the decision. He has been with Tempo Holidays and latterly Cox and Kings for more than 10 years.

Reynolds will take up his new role on June 19.

Back-Roads Touring managing director James Nathan said the company was delighted with the appointment “at such an exciting phase of our development”.

“The company is experiencing unprecedented interest and growth in its 2013/14 programs and Steve with his experience and passion for small group touring is the perfect fit for our company,” he said.

Nathan claimed annual growth “was approaching 100%”.
