River cruise going strong: APT

By admin

APT is seeing continued growth of its European river cruising and doesn't see any sign of flatlining, the operators managing director has revealed.
On the back of a stellar year in 2011, APT is expecting ongoing growth this year as the number of repeat travellers increases year on year.
"Our traditional Europe trip had great success last year, and is not showing any sign of flatlining," APT managing director Debra Fox said. "River cruise is a strong selling point at the moment."
Fox credited the trend to more repeat travellers and new product, adding that the response to its 2012 Rhine and Rhone cruise has been "overwhelming".
With all but two dates already sold out for 2012, Fox remains confident APT's other river cruises will see solid gains this year.
"River cruise is starting to catch a greater audience as the product continues to improve year on year," she said.
