Scoot seals deal with Travelport
By admin

Scoot and Travelport have signed a new content agreement giving Galileo-connected agents access to the low cost carrier's fares with immediate effect.

In addition, Scoot has selected Travelport as its "key provider" of airline IT services with its e-ticket database hosting service, ETDBase, to store and manage the airline's e-ticket data for online and interline e-ticketing.

Travelport Asia Pacific vice president sales and services, Damian Hickey, described the agreement as a "strategic signing" for the technology firm.

"One of the key focus areas for my team is expanding out low-cost air offering, and we are delighted to partner with Scoot in the years ahead," he said.

Meanwhile Scoot chief executive, Campbell Wilson, said the deal "further extends" the airline's distribution channels, enabling it to continue to grow its business.
