SeaDream Yacht Club has named cruise industry veteran Pamela Conover as its chief executive.

Conover was previously president and chief executive of SeaDream rival, Seabourn Cruise Lines. She is also a former president of Cunard Line.

She will take the CEO role from chairman and owner Atle Brynestad and be based in Miami with "worldwide responsibility" for the cruise line's two vessels, SeaDream I and II.

"I welcome Pam to take my role…so I can spend more time towards the long term planning for SeaDream and also more time to my other businesses," Brynestad said.
