Seabourn Quest makes Sydney debut

Seabourn Quest makes Sydney debut
By admin

Seabourn Quest made its maiden visit to Sydney over the weekend as the cruise line's chief executive became the latest senior executive to talk up the importance of the Australia market.

The 32,000-tonne vessel arrived at the Overseas Passenger Terminal on Saturday, one of six local ports on its 116-day world voyage.

Its sister ship, Seabourn Odyssey will make 19 ports of call, including three at Sydney, over the summer season.

"Our decision to send two of our newest ships down under this season reflects the growing local demand for luxury cruising as well as increasing interest in Australia as a cruise destination," Seabourn president Richard Meadows.

Seabourn Quest departed Sydney last night for Hamilton Island and will also call at Townsville, Cairns and Thursday Island on its way to Asia.
