Celebrity concierges share their Singapore tips

The Singapore Tourism Board has launched Singapore Celebrity Concierge – a brand new VIP travel experience that invites Aussie travellers to have their next holiday to Singapore masterminded by some of Australia’s favourite personalities.

This April, a panel of four Singapore-savvy celebrities will pop on a headset, and take part in one-on-one Skype consultations.

The panel consists of:

  • Chef Tetsuya Wakuda, who describes Singapore as his “home away from home”, where he chose to open his second restaurant, Waku Ghin.
  • Author and mum to six children, Antonia Kidman, who moved to the Lion City in 2010 with her family.
  • TV presented and intrepid traveller, Tom Williams, who will be co-presenter on an upcoming TV special on Channel 7.
  • Masterchef 2012 finalist, Audra Morrice, who was born in Singapore, and incorporates her love of the country into her cooking style.

With the combination of local knowledge, spanning food, culture, family, history, shopping and adventure, Aussies now have an added edge to exploring the island city’s hidden secrets.

“Through the Singapore Celebrity Concierge, we want to inspire Aussies to discover the aspects of our city that locals love but visitors can too,” said area director Oceania for Singapore Tourism Board, Sharon Lam.

“All of our Celebrity Concierges are making recommendations from their own personal interests, and we hope this will excite and encourage more Aussies to visit our shores to try these out themselves.”

For the chance to speak with one of these consultants, register for a Skype appointment at www.singaporecelebrityconcierge.com.au before Friday April 25.
